The third installment of the Online Plumbing Design Webinar Series wrapped up with outstanding success, drawing 68 participants from a wide range of disciplines including architecture, civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering, along with seasoned master plumbers. Despite intermittent internet outages and technical difficulties with video equipment, the seminar pushed through smoothly, highlighting the resilience and commitment of both organizers and attendees.
This session focused on Storm Drainage Hydraulic Analysis, a specialized area of plumbing design crucial to effective infrastructure planning and flood management. The workshop provided participants with an invaluable opportunity to expand their technical expertise and practical understanding of storm drainage systems, equipping them with knowledge essential for designing sustainable and efficient solutions.
The program was led by Registered Master Plumber Elmer Pelinio, a distinguished leader in the profession. Pelinio has served as the 2024 Chairman of the Committee on Education, 2025 Vice President for Internal Affairs, and currently holds the position of 2026 Vice President for Internal Affairs of the NAMPAP Davao Chapter. His leadership and depth of knowledge set the tone for a dynamic and insightful learning environment that encouraged active engagement and professional growth.
Throughout the seminar, participants explored the fundamental components of storm drainage systems and examined the principles behind selecting and designing appropriately sized drainage canals.
